Current Initiatives by Humaniti on the Ground:

Mobile Clinics: Humaniti’s mobile clinics continue to serve as a lifeline for communities in Gaza with no access to functioning hospitals. Over 5,000 individuals have benefited from these mobile units, receiving vital medical support, psychosocial care, and essential medications. However, medical supply chains remain fragile and dependent on local market conditions and border access.

Medical Mission: Humaniti’s medical missions provide critical healthcare in Gaza, where hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced. Thousands of patients received urgent care, including life-saving treatments and essential medications. The missions are ongoing, but supply shortages pose significant challenges.

Water Delivery & Fuel Shortages: Water trucks remain operational, delivering clean water daily to communities in need. However, diesel shortages are becoming critical, threatening the continuation of delivery routes. Immediate intervention is required to prevent disruptions.

Hot Meal Distribution: Daily hot meals continue to be served, primarily featuring rice and stew-based dishes. While meat was once a staple, its availability has declined due to market collapse. Humaniti has shifted to takiyya-style meals to ensure calorie intake remains sufficient despite limited dietary variety. Over 150,000 hot meals have been served, and more than 25,000 households received food parcels in Deir Al-Balah and Rafah.

Tent Village: Humaniti’s tent village in Gaza remains fully operational and recently renovated. The village is currently at full capacity, housing families displaced by the conflict. Additional shelter supplies, including blankets and mattresses, have been provided to over 10,000 individuals.

Orphan Support: Humaniti continues to support over 5,000 orphans in Gaza with monthly care packages valued at $50 USD. These packages include food, hygiene products, cash assistance, fresh produce, and clothing, adapting to market availability and evolving needs. Additional support is provided for injured orphans and individuals with disabilities, including mobility aids and therapeutic supplies.

100 Family Village: The 100 Family Village in Deir El Balah remains a critical support hub, providing permanent shelter, daily meals, clean drinking water, and education to 100 families. The village also includes a school for 300 children, a masjid, and a playground, prioritizing the ill, elderly, pregnant women, and children.

Urgently Depleting Items: Critical shortages include infant formula, diapers, diesel, fresh vegetables, meat, and essential medications. Humaniti continues to work with local suppliers and partners to address these urgent gaps.

Qurbani Meat Distribution: In preparation for Eid al-Adha, Humaniti is organizing a large-scale Qurbani meat distribution to provide sacrificial meat to displaced and vulnerable families as part of ongoing humanitarian support efforts.

Post-Ceasefire Recovery: Humaniti is actively developing a multi-phase recovery plan to be implemented immediately following a ceasefire. Priorities include expanding food distribution through takiyya kitchens, scaling up water delivery, enhancing mobile clinics, debris removal, and rebuilding health and education infrastructure.
